Commonly-Addressed Issues and Types of Therapy
Types of therapy offered include cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), interpersonal psychotherapy, dialectic behaviour therapy (DBT) skills training, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness meditation practices to address issues related to depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, anger, and chronic pain.
We also offer supportive, client-centred counselling and relational psychotherapy to address issues related to relationships, self-esteem, gender identity issues, or gender distress.
Couples therapy is available to help break free from unhealthy communication patterns and re-ignite connection and commitment to relationships.
Cognitive rehabilitation is offered to address issues with memory, attention, and thinking skills associated with brain injury or stroke, and to help compensate for memory problems in dementia.
Treatment services are provided with sensitivity to issues of diversity and within an lgbtq+ positive space.
