Registered Psychotherapist (Teens, Adults) - St. Catharines & Online
Jeffrey Sica has been in the field of mental health and addictions for the past 15 years, and more recently has been focusing on developing and providing therapeutic services for youth and Emerging Adults across the Niagara Region.
A Registered Psychotherapist since 2015, Jeffrey has recently completed a Masters of Science in Psychology in 2019 focusing on researching experiences of youth in the Niagara Region with the intention of improving services available and addressing gaps in existing supports. In addition to working at Brookside Psychologists, Mr. Sica holds clinical positions at the Community Addiction Services of Niagara (Early Intervention for Emerging Adults) (CASON) and Sherry Campbell Group. He previously worked at the Niagara Health System’s New Port Center and as a case manager at the Brain Injury Community Re-entry in St. Catharines.
In therapeutic delivery, Jeffrey has led clinical teams such as a dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) team, and provides evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), prolonged exposure therapy, acceptance and change therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, and others. He has completed the Non-Profit Leadership Development certification program through Goodman School of Business & Brock University in 2018, is GAIN-Q3 MI ONT certified. He has also completed Indigenous Cultural Safety training and certification.
