Registered Psychotherapist (Kids, Teens, Adults, Parents) St. Catharines & Online
Owyn is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, working with children, teens, adults, and parents at Brookside Therapy’s St. Catharines office.
Grounded in a trauma-informed and client-centred approach, Owyn is a strong advocate for the people she works with. She supports clients in exploring how their past experiences shape their present, and collaborates with each individual to create tailored treatment plans that promote lasting, positive change. Owyn values the uniqueness of every client, taking time to understand their specific needs while drawing on evidence-based techniques and modalities.
Her clinical focus includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which she uses to help clients build healthier, more adaptive thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. In addition to EMDR, Owyn integrates elements of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and attachment-based frameworks to provide flexible, well-rounded care.
Owyn completed her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counselling at Niagara University in 2020, following a B.A. in Psychology at Brock University. Beyond her role at Brookside Therapy, she has supported clients through positions at the Family Counselling Centre, the Canadian Mental Health Association, and Pathstone Mental Health, giving her a broad foundation of experience across community and clinical settings.
Known for her compassionate presence, clinical expertise, and commitment to advocacy, Owyn works alongside her clients to empower them toward resilience, growth, and meaningful change.
