About:

Zoey Divecha is a Registered Nurse Psychotherapist who provides psychotherapy to adults at our Burlington office and online. She works with each client individually to address a range of conditions and issues. She is competent in provision of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), dialectic behaviour therapy (DBT) skills training, cognitive processing therapy (CPT), trauma-informed care, and mindfulness. She has experience working with a range of conditions and issues, including anger management, anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, chronic illness, domestic abuse, eating disorders, grief, infertility, infidelity, psychosis, self-harming, insomnia, stress, suicidal ideation, and trauma.

As a registered nurse, Zoey can provide her clients with medication education and psychoeducation regarding interactions between health conditions and mental health.

Zoey completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ryerson University (now the Toronto Metropolitan University) in 2012. Over the past several years, she has completed training related to psychotherapy in the areas of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), dialectic behaviour therapy (DBT) foundations, and cognitive processing therapy (CPT). She is certified in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing by the Canadian Nurses Association.

In addition to her work at Brookside Psychologists, Zoey is employed as a mental health therapist at William Osler Health System where she provides individual and group therapy (CBT) in the adult day treatment program. She also works with clients with mental health diagnoses and eating disorders in the inpatient psychiatric unit of Credit Valley Hospital. She previously provided mental health support to adults with substance abuse and trauma related issues at the Homewood Health Centre.

Zoey is a member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.
