Masters Psychology Practicum Student (Adults) - Burlington & Online
Maryam Moazzami is a Master’s Psychology Practicum Student who provides individual and couples counselling and assessment for adults at our Burlington office. Her services are supervised by Dr. Lesley Miller, Psychologist and Ms. Cara Morison, Psychologist. Maryam is currently completing her Master of Psychology degree in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto. She has completed training in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and dialectic behaviour therapy (DBT) skills training. In addition, she completed a Master of Public Health degree from Lakehead University in 2014 and a Specialized Honours Psychology B.Sc. degree from York University in 2010.
For the past seven years, Maryam has worked at North York Research Inc. in Toronto, where she managed clinical studies and engaged in patient recruitment. Her volunteer work has included providing phone crisis support at the Sexual Assault Survivors’ Support Line and Leadership (SASSL) in Toronto. She has also volunteered at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health coordinating an event with guest speakers on immigration, addiction, and access to mental health services. Her past research has focused on the topic of immigration and psychopathology.
