About
Lauren provides counselling for teens and adults at Brookside Therapy & Assessments. She supports individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, addictions, and complex mental health concerns, with appointments available in St. Catharines and online.
Approach
Lauren combines cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) with dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) skills training, drawing on ideas from Internal Family Systems (IFS). She helps clients understand patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours while developing practical skills to manage stress, navigate difficult emotions, and strengthen relationships.
Her approach encourages curiosity and compassion toward different parts of oneself, including those that may feel overwhelmed or conflicted. Lauren works collaboratively with clients to tailor therapy to their needs and goals.
Education & Professional Experience
Lauren completed a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counselling at Niagara University, following a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Brock University.
Her internship training included placements at Brookside Psychologists and Pathstone Mental Health. At Pathstone, she provided individual psychotherapy and co-facilitated group therapy for children and teens aged 7 to 17 experiencing a range of mental health concerns.
In addition to her role at Brookside, Lauren works at CBT Niagara.
Professional Registration
Lauren is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
