Dr. Lily Repa is a psychologist providing treatment and assessment for adults and teens at Brookside Psychologists’ St. Catherine’s location. Her primary areas of practice include the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders (i.e., social anxiety, OCD, depression, bipolar disorder, etc.) and insomnia. She also provides supportive counselling to address issues related to relationships, self-esteem, and life stress. Dr. Repa uses an integrative, evidenced-based practice primarily informed by cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT),dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). In every case, Dr. Repa endeavours to develop a strong therapeutic alliance with her patients that fosters trust and hope, and sets the stage for the implementation of a client-centred and collaborative treatment plan.
Dr. Repa received her Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Since 2016, Dr. Repa has held both inpatient and outpatient clinical training positions at various Eastern Health sites in St. John’s and rural Newfoundland where she gained experience with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, health and rehabilitation, ADHD and learning disorders, and substance use disorders with patients across the lifespan. She completed her predoctoral residency at the Ottawa Institute of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. During her doctoral studies, Dr. Repa was also actively involved in research and teaching, and has publications in the journals Sleep, Sleep Health, and Journal of Psychotherapy Integration.
Dr. Repa is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association.
